What oils help to build platelets? My daughter has idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura. Which means she has critically low plateletes. She had to receive intravenous immunoglobulin to help her increase her plateletes and so she would have less chance of bleeding to death. Plateletes are what help your blood clot. This is believed to be autoimmune response since the Dr doesn't have any other explanation for its occurrance. What will help her build platelets and not thin her blood?
