Constipation: I discovered this by accident. I take a capsule a couple times a day of 2 drops each Frank., ginger, and clove for chronic nausea. This has cured any constipation. I researched and found the both ginger and clove are good for constipation. I often add Frank. to anything that I use because it seems to enhance the effect of the other oils.
Pain: I can't take digestzen internally because peppermint gives me extreme heartburn. For the ache from constipation or diarrhea, I like to place a little Deep Blue Rub lotion in my hand, add 2 or 3 drops of digestzen and then rub it on my abdomen. It usually takes off the edge of the pain or stops all of the pain. There are a lot of oils that help with abdominal pain.
Diarrhea: I do not know what oils to use, but here are food suggestions. Start out with clear liquids to rest the body. Then slowly start using the BRAT diet of bananas, rice (not brown at this point), applesauce and toast (again, white toast at this point).
