My mom had both of her hips replaced this past yr & she took LLV up until surgery & immediately after...she may have eliminated the fish oil for approx 1 wk but otherwise took the supplements. She had no issues. I think the difference w/our supplements when compared to a lot of other brands is that ours are in a food matrix which our bodies recognize as food& not some foreign substance. Unless there are specific foods the drs tell her to avoid prior to surgery I believe our supplements would be beneficial.
