Hi Jeannie, your poor friend, I know how that feels. I too had a rough time with GX Assist in the beginning, but my doctor (who is a doterra IPC) warned me that I could have unpleasant symptoms as the candida and other parasites died off, so to lower my dosage if I needed to. For most of the first cleanse I could only handle 1 cap a day, otherwise I was in agony. As I understand, the severe stomach pain is a sign that the candida/parasite levels in the gut are WAY too high. By the end of the second cleanse, I could handle 2 caps a day with only minor intermittant stomach pain, and by the 3rd and 4th cleanses I was having 3 caps a day with no pain at all!!! Which too me was a sign that my candida/parasite levels were much more under control. And my digestion/health has been so much better off ever since. So yeah it's probably best for her to cut down in the beginning and slowly build up as her body can handle it
Another important factor is to watch your diet while doing the cleanse (and indeed afterwards as well)....best to avoid sugars, white flour products, alcohol etc to help kill the candida.
Hope your friend is able to find relief for her sinus issues etc. :)
Cheers, Belinda

She did 10 days of the GX Assist but it was so painful she was curled up in the fetal position with intense abdominal pain on day 9. Of course she stopped and immediately took PB Assist. I have never had anyone go thru this much pain before and I know this gal, she's a nurse so she's pretty tough on the pain scale. Her allergies and sinus issues make it to where she can't breathe and we've tried the Magic Bullet (Oregano, OG & Rosemary) recipe along with protocols in the ME book. Still stumped on why the GX would cause this much pain. Nothing works for her.Anyone have any ideas?

Oh, my word. I have tried to use the GX assist a few different times and after one capsule, the pain is so intense and lasts for the whole day. Never again.
ReplyDeleteyou may be able to "handle " the GX assist by prepping the body first as in the gut cleanse . Starting with cleaning up diet ( no dairy grains or gluten or alcohol ) for more than 10 days may be needed , and making sure you are taking the liver support day one - 10 .
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting for me to read the post above. My husband and I are doing the Doterra cleanse. And we both had a bout with the sinus issues! I think it could be the cleanse cuz it’s not really a cold and it’s not really allergies. I too am having abdominal discomfort and only taking 1 GX a day.... ouch.
