I feel for your husband's pain: one thing that you can use to take the
sting and pain away from the
skin reacting to the hotness of the Oregano is: Pure Olive Oil...
It neutralizes the skin reaction--doesn't affect the way the oil works
but soothes the skin.
I have used it for burning on other peoples' skin who have reacted to
oils they shouldn't have
reacted to and the olive oil applied topically to the tender area took
the pain away in about 30 seconds
