Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: LLV with various prescriptions that state do not drink or eat grapefruit?

Except that there is not grapefruit in LLV. Slim & Sassy does but not LLV. The only time I've ever had LLV be an issue with medication was once is a clinical trial where they did not want someone taking Milk Thistle but they could take 2 of the 3.

The reasoning for avoiding grapefruit is that it increases the rate at which the medication is metabolized.  I would be careful with them and talk to his doctor before starting.

Hi~ I didn't find grapefruit listed in the LLV ingredients. Anyone else?

However, grapefruit is supposed to be avoided on certain medications, including cholesterol and others. It's easy to find if you google "avoid grapefruit meds".

Thank you for the information and your willingness to research. In the past he tried some "vitamins" that reacted with his medication resulting a stay in the hospital so he is very causious.

My father is on the following medications: Auopurinol, Diovan HCT, Metformin, Actds, Synthroid, Tramadol HCL and Byetta. He is affraid to start the LLV until I can verify if there will be any side effects because of the grapefruit in them. Has anyone had any experiences with this?

Also, can someone add the Slim & Sassy drops to hot tea?

Thank you!!!
