Pianobook, I actually have read the exact same thing, that the FCO could leave the oils less effective when PRE-MIXED. I am certain that it depends on which oils you are using because I have successfully created some blends with FCO that work great, no problem. However, I have pre-mixed Deep Blue with FCO and it rendered it useless. My hubby seems to respond very well to Deep Blue for his sleep apnea. He puts 3 drops FCO and 4 drops Deep Blue in the palm of his hand, mixes, and applies to his throat/neck area. In an attempt to save him time, I used the EXACT same ratios, 3:4, and premixed a bottle for him. It no longer worked. I am convinced that SOME oils, when left sitting for a time with the FCO, do in fact lose their potency. I did read it somewhere, and I found it to be absolutely true with personal experience.
