[Everything doTERRA] Re: doTerra's Lifelong Vitality Pack (supplements) for Alzheimer's

I have some ideas for coconut oil too. If you like to bake, substitute
half of your butter with vco or all of your shortening with vco. You
won't believe the effects! I tried this out for the first ime just
last week on some gluten-free muffins (I have a gluten allergy).
Gluten-free ANYTHING is notoriously dry, crumbly, tough, or stale from
sitting on the store shelf for too long. NOT the muffins! I
substituted half of the butter it called for with VCO and this is what
happened: the outside of the muffins were slightly crispy like gourmet
wheat bread. The inside of the muffins were very moist like a high-
quality wedding cake. They also had only the slightest hint of coconut
sweetness without overpowering the actual flavor of the muffin at all.
Translation: BEST MUFFINS I'VE EVER HAD!

I also tried it out on some frosting for some gluten-free sweet rolls
(as well as the sweet roll dough itself). Instead of using shortening,
I used the vco. I also added a few drops of of doTERRA's lemon oil to
it. MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH DELICIOUS! The sweet roll dough turned out
like the muffins too. It was heavenly! Another upside to it all is
that, with it being gluten free as well as having added HEALTHY fats,
I eat less of it because i get satified much faster. I haven't tried
it out in my gluten-free oatmeal, smoothies, or greek yogurt yet, but
they are my next targets.

An important tip you should know is to never melt the VCO in the
microwave. The reason for this is that the microwave will destroy the
healthy parts of the oil, making it useless as a healthy fat dietary
supplement. Use only hot running water or double boil (boil water in a
little saucepan, put some VCO in a small glass or lead-free ceramic
cup and set the cup into the water without allowing water to flow into
the cup). It melts very quickly and will not be hot to the touch once
it is liquified. Remove from double boil as soon as it has liquified.

I will try to upload a video I saw of the effects of VCO on Alzheimer
patients and how it works. It was because of this video that I decided
to give VCO a try. I'm already HOOKED as you can probably tell.
