[Everything doTERRA] lemon oil vs actual fruit when alkalizing

This question continues to come up, is Lemon Oil alkalizing to the
body similar to putting actual lemons in your water? if I'm correct,
lemon essential oil comes from the lemon rind. In my experience it is
the fruit of the lemon that is the alkalizing part of the lemon. Does
the lemon oil still alkalize like the fruit?

One reason I ask is that the "statin" drugs say to avoid grapefruit,
however I have heard that since the grapefruit oil comes from the
rind, some say it is okay to take with the statin drugs.

So this would make me think that lemon fruit acts differently from
lemon oil similar to grapefruit acting different from grapefruit
oil....any thoughts?
