I have been dealing with a lot of digestive problems, including divirticulitis. When I first started with some of the gx assist and the terrazymes, it was too much for my system because of the damage to my gut. I have celiac disease, which wasn't diagnosed for the first 37 years of my life so there has been a lot of damage. Here are the things I have found to work very well:
diet: I way simplified my diet to cooked, pureed vegetables (starting with only carrots and adding one new fruit/veg in every 4 days to see how my body would handle it). I eat broths and lean meats and have used diluted grape juice (100% juice). This helped to calm my system and help with the inflammation.
As for DoTerra products, I take the LLV every day. I take the Terrazymes with every meal and now they don't make me sick. They work the way they were intended to work.
I do the GX Assist protoccol, every 3 months.
In between, I do the PB Assist to help heal the gut and replace the good bacteria. I also have added in homemade yogurt with live cultures to help with this.
I drink lots of lemon water and plan to start adding the slim and sassy in soon.
I don't eat any refined sugars, no dairy (except the homemade yogurt) currently no grains at all because the fiber wasn't working in my body-just making me more sick. I hope to continue this way of eating, as I gradually add in all the fruits and vegetables and eventually grains. This way my body can heal and my goal is that within 3 months, I will be able to handle raw fruits/veggies again as well as grains. I don't plan on every doing refined sugars, dairy or gluten again.
There is a book that I read, that is helpful for digestive issues called "Breaking The Vicious Cycle" by Elaine Gotschell: http://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Vicious-Cycle-Intestinal-Through/dp/0969276818/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313170711&sr=8-1
I am finding that this diet, combined with all the wonderful resources of DoTerra have helped me to feel better than I have in years!

The protocol is great for diabetes also and I would imagine that you could put them together and work on all the problems. Some of his symptoms will leave once he is on the LLV. And remember to give this program a good 3 months and adjust the oils as they fit for what he needs. You would have him muscle test and I have attached the paper on it, in case he isn't sure how to do it. This will assure him that he is using the oils that are best for him. If I were to want something for the diverticulitis I would start taking 3-4 drops of DigestZen daily (or twice a day) depending on the need. These oils should not interfere with any of the meds. I am wondering if you would recommend him do the protocol that I've seen on here for diabetes also? Do we work on ALL of these at once? (Obviously the supplements are recommended for both.) I just want to verify, also, that none of EOs nor the supplements, etc would interfere w/his meds, correct? THANK YOU AGAIN! PS What would you do, Pat, (or anyone else?) for diverticulitis--for this man's daughter-in-law? I did search for this on this site & noticed a couple of things--boiled skim milk, etc + something from Brooke M--but I'm not quite sure where to go w/all of that. You might find some answers in the protocols that are attached. Recently diagnosed w/ DISH (Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis--Forestier's disease--is a form of degenerative arthritis) is related to his ankylosing spondylitis. He also has mild rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Some of this is related to the Crohns.
He also has small vessel disease, diabetes (from too much prednisone). He had a traumatic brain injury when he was about 20-- bike accident--when he almost died. Because of that injury he now has what they are calling brownouts, not quite blackouts. This is the reason he can no longer drive. About 15 years ago, he had cerebral vasculitis after which he had seizures, but they are under control with medication. This also may be due to his bike accident and small vessel disease. He has heart arrhythmias, high blood pressure and hypothyroidism. He recently had a cornea transplant because of keratoconus.
Any ideas . . . I'm assuming the supplements . . . I've read success stories in here for some of these things individually---Crohns, diabetes, etc but w/ALL of this lumped together, would you suggest anything different?
