Marge,
Thank you so much for the link you provide...I have read my books on assertive parenting. I am a stay at home mom and pride my self on having time to teach my children how to grow.I have been reading books after books. and I finally had to take my son in.very thing we tried he fights agaisnt. We have been going through the steps with him now for two years. My husband and I set times for each child to get personal one on one time with us.. We finally took my son in as he is getting more agressave and talking of harming himself and others. and he will willing attack for no reason at all. He seem to think when dad is not home he is the man of the house and so try's to control the house and we have to put a stop to it some how. The books my husband and I have read have helped some but very little. We have a routine that is posted for the kids. the only ones who care not to follow it most the time is my son. and he doesn't care about time outs or things being taken. which is pretty much what lead us to seek more help. I figure with some medication ( as much as I am not for them.) and some oils I can get my angle boy back and with that my oldest with the down syndrome will see peace and harmony and what to follow his lead. all my girls look to him as there big brother. he is so smart and never acts out at school just when he is with us. but we have seen small bits of things going on at school that worry us he will start to act out at school. I don't care to have him put in a special needs class as he is above his class mates in most subjects. I would love to have him tested for the gifted program but fear doing so now. I want to wait till we have him balanced out. so that when the work does get hard he doesn't give up. and feel he can't. I have a strong supports system as well and lean on god to guide us through all this. with his guiding hands. thank you so much for your reply. and I will be looking into the 1-12-3 parenting.

Dear Heather, in the last DoTerra magazine they speak of the 'balance' that is needed in seeking health. We need the medical community – which is friendly with the oils and other natural therapies community – and I add two other communities of expertise: the psychological and spiritual. Children need secure and stable boundaries, just as a small plant needs in a windy environment. I am a great grandmother and I have seen my children do everything they can for a child – yet fail to give parental boundaries. One of the best helps I have found was the video: "1 – 2 – 3 Magic" by Thomas Phelan, Ph.D. which you can find the CD at www.parentmagic.comI always think we should go to the Creator of your child first, through that Infinite Source---His Holy Spirit-----you will get answers, the problem is: will I hear or see the answer? God works through all the secondary resources l listed above: I have found that after seeking help, I hear or see another resource---I try it in good faith and trust---and many many times it is the answer to my health problem. God is not stingy, He is trying to reach out to you with helps........keep trying, searching.........but, do be at peace. He is in charge also of your children. Do your best and lean on Him.Some children, I personally think, are completely beside themselves because there is no adult in the house. I wish that I would have see the CD I quote above before I raised my four children. I was one of those parents who thought I needed to be 'nice' and to give them 40 chances to obey after essentially begging them to obey me and even to let them rule over me. There is a huge price to pay for that. The modern culture wants the child to be in charge of himself. No way. God gave that job to parents. Men are a little less 'nice' than women and it helps to have the male discipline---he gets less emotional about it. I watch this all the time in children who, basically, are not being 'formed' to be a part of the human community. No one wants them at their house or in their church or at the market. They are so out of control. I think, even very little ones, understand control........they need it like they need air. They have no idea what to do with emotions. We show and form them to understand. I found the CD above at a local Pregnancy Care Center.....it is excellent. You are in my prayers.............you have the top job on earth..........preparing these youth for their future........for a healthier nation, etc. From: vapealizingSent: Wednesday, December 17, 2014 7:31 PMSubject: [Everything doTERRA] Mother of 4 with very different personalities.Hello,--My name is Heather and I am a mother of 4 who are all very different..but share the same types of tempers.my oldest has down syndrome and is very much influenced by her siblings.
