Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Seriously? But, I will get over it!

Hi Cindy and everyone!  (and Pat!)
I realize that, however she's been over here and we've had numerous discussions about oils as she knows I OIL UP daily and in numerous ways!  I suppose it was her dramatic reaction that stunned me so.  I did tell her about applying them to her feet, etc., and she again FREAKED over the smell on her hands-- as in, put the phone down and gagged--seriously.  It was just one thing after another.  Live and Learn---Personally, I would rather her not have them and waste them than to act derogatorily about something that is not only important to me, but also vital to my life.  I can just as easily go purchase her an Ulta gift card, for which she would be TRULY thankful!  (Actually,  I'm more bummed she opened all the bottles, created such a ruckus, and won't use them, and now I will look like  re-gifter!) Ha--not really.  I have several people this year, I am giving diffusers and oils to, but she, being my big sister-- I thought to be the most generous with.  I just purchased 3 kits for this very purpose--the family physician kit, the aromatherapy kit, and the intro kit.  I am splitting them up to share between people so they can experience the joy and healing I've received from using these oils.  I own several keychains, and I do share those regularly with people, I just wanted to be a bit more generous with my sister.  Some people are the critical kind who, need up front proof, can't relax--hence the (Balance), and she is one of them.  She just doesn't realize it.
I've had Blessings and JOY beyond my wildest dreams since beginning my doTTERRA journey; I feel fortunate to share it with people I love, and those less fortunate who I know need it, and will benefit from it.  God has been SO incredible to me, I can't help but share my joy.  This one may have backfired, but I'm moving on!  I have oodles of diffusers and oils to share because it is the season of giving; however--my dad always put it best, and I remember this everyday : " The best presents are just for bein'. "

Peace to everyone--
Much love,
Margot

Oh Sweetie, that is really heartbreaking.

I have found it is much easier to introduce people to the oils slowly.  For those who do not come to the oils on their own, they can take some getting used to.  I love the oils, but am not so sure I could put two drops of fran. Under my tongue.  However I use a drop or two on my face with oil.  The smell at first bothered me (and I am an oil lover!), but I have gotten used to it.

Even my husband is hard to get to use the oils.  He knows they work.  He sometimes is put off by the smell.  I just apply them mostly to the bottoms of his feet and directly to his back sometimes, but mostly to the bottoms of his feet.

My mother in law has gout really bad and a I made up a small mix for her.  I applied some to her arm that was swollen and hurting.  I instructed her to use the oil on the bottom of her feet every night before going to bed.  This woman swears she is no longer in pain.  Now I have been married to her son for 25 years and needless to say, I would not have been her pick.  but when the sample bottle was running low, she said she would need more.

For less than seven dollars you can get a keychain with eight sample bottles.  That with some typed out instructions of how to use them would make a nice gift.  And be much more cost effective.  I really believe it's all in the presentation.  And remember portion control when sharing.

I am so sorry that you had that experience with your sister.  Maybe you could get together and look on Pinterest for ideas on how she could use the oils other ways.  I love pinterest.  Merry Christmas and remember you have a whole group of women here who would love to be your sister and would feel so honored to have gotten your gift.

Blessings, Cindy
