[Everything doTERRA] Re: Loss of taste

I lost my ability to taste vinegar and mustard (all tart tasting foods) for a little while after swallowing radio active Iodine to treat thyroid cancer. It is not fun at all. My jaws also would swell up like the mumps if I ate any carbohydrate. It was painful but the problem was short lived. I do have reduced saliva do to the damage from the radiation bun not as reduced as the first few years after the radiation. I find oil pulling to be helpful to freshen my breath. Saliva caries oxygen to the tissues of the mouth which keeps the anaerobic bacteria at bay. If you lack this (the saliva and therefore the oxygen) you can have bad breath. The oil puling cleans up the mouth.

Any ideas for an oil protocol for loss of taste? I have a good friend that has gone thru radiation therapy and has lost her sense of taste.  I can't find anything specifically for that.  Really want to help her.
