Every woman is different. In general terms the first day of your cycle is the first day of menstruation. In a generic 28 day cycle the first week is menses, the second week is when you have a good chance of getting pregnant with the 14th day being ovulation. The next two weeks your body is ramping up to embrace a fertilized egg working hard to implant itself in the uterine wall and nourish a baby. If this miracle isn't happening then after day 28 the cycle begins again with menses.
So two weeks after the start of your period is the answer if you have a 28 day cycle.
IMPORTANT - THIS IS A GUIDELINE.
THE BEGINNING PART OF THE WOMAN'S CYCLE - start of menses to ovulation can vary greatly depending on many things. I think this phase is called the luteal phase. The time after ovulation is pretty consistent generally between 10 - 14 days. It is during this time to not use Clary Sage if it is known to increase blood flow.
Again, every body is different and it is very good to learn what your cycle is and be observant of any changes which can be indicative of something more serious.

I never saw an answer come in regarding that question, so I'm wondering now if anyone can answer that question. Does it refer to when the bleeding actually starts? The first part being just the cramping etc (all but the bleeding)?
