Just to make sure - put the drops not under the tongue but on top of the tongue as far back as she can.   Of course under the tongue as well is fine but

I found for a sore throat on top of the tongue far back is the answer wait then swallow!

I have a daughter with a very sore throat, hoarsness and cough.  I have been having her gargle with oregano and I put one drop of onguard under her tounge twice a day.
