The components of degradation are heat/oxidation and light/radiation. Oils start to degrade the instant they are extracted, so we put them in dark bottles and seal them to keep them potent longer. Oils respond differently to temperatures due to their specific constituent components. (Think of different cooking oils that heat differently) Heat encourages oxidation which changes the chemical makeup of the oil. I would keep your oils as cool as possible, short of refrigerating them and away from light/radiation sources as much as possible. Light/radiation doesn't need to heat the oils to break them down.
Hope that helps.

I think they need to stay in a much cooler and darker place. I have a

Baby steps!)
I have noticed that bottle of lemon doesn't seem as potent as it used
to be. Not as strong of a lemon smell. Smells kind of watered down.
But this is what I have observed for myself. Any veterans out there
that can give a good response?
