Important legislation: Colorado Safe Personal Care Act
I know I already sent this attachment out this weekend but this is very important for our business. If this bill passes they can go after essential oils like Basil, Rose, Clove, etc. that according to the “experts” have cancer causing constituents (linalool, methyleugenol)?! Check the link below to read more about it. If this passes in Colorado then it will just be a matter of time before other states adopt something similar.
Does doTERRA Corporate know about this? Is doTERRA’s legal department fighting this? Nationally, John McCain (R) is trying to get bill S3002 passed which will ruin the “supplements industry” – thanks McCain, you are the embodiment of why I am now an Independent and left the Republicans!!!!
I am not trying to get too political and I respect everyone’s individual beliefs but I have to share. Nationalized Healthcare where bureaucrats decide my health scares me to death and all of my preventative measures (essential oils, supplements, herbs and other alternative medicine) is what will help us all and the Government is going after that now.
Colorado has the most liberal “medical marijuana” laws in the nation and now we will have the strictest laws against essential oils! Good job legislators, looks like you need to be fired.
Below is some info. I want to share. I really wish all of us could spend our time to fight against the stupidity of the Government spending our country into Bankruptcy but now I guess we have this to deal with this too.
Remember, education is power!!!

We are also strongly opposing this bill. The Judiciary Committee of the Colorado Legislature will either move this bill forward or “postpone it indefinitely” at its committee meeting on Monday, March 1st at 1:30 pm in the state house. We were lobbying the committee members this afternoon, with some surprising bedfellows: Amway, Target, Walmart, MaryKaye, and Merle Norman, among others. (Geez they all looked and smelled great!;)
The Colorado Woman’s Lobby is backing this bill, and using the signors of the Compact of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics as “proof” that small body care and cosmetics businesses support the bill itself. Anyone reading here who has signed the Compact may want to reconsider, or at least send a note to the bill’s sponsor saying you do not support the bill in its current form.
