[Everything doTERRA] Re: Chemical allergic burn

John,

Don't forget about the wonderful properties found in organic unrefined coconut oil, even by itself it's wonderful and soothing.  It's also wonderful as a carrier for essential oils, just remember that at room temp it is a solid.

Here are a couple protocols I've collected for sun burn:

·         Add oils to 4oz spray bottle. Shake. Apply as soon as possible to sunburned area. Repeat every 2-4 hours. If blistering occurs add 20 drops of Melaleuca to the mixture.

Lavender

Peppermint

20

Frankincense

Top off

Water or FCO

·         Apply 1-2 drops of Lavender (can be mixed with lotion or carrier oil to make it spread further). If skin too tender to apply oil with fingers just blend Lavender and FCO in a spray bottle and spray it onto burned area.

And here are the protocols I've collected for burns:

·         Apply a drop of Frankincense, BID

·         Apply 1- 2 drops of Lavender neat. If large burn area you can dilute in carrier oil to make application easier and cover a greater area. Can also make Lavender/FCO blend in spray bottle for burns that hurt too much to rub anything on them.

·         1st and 2nd Degree Burns – Blend in 15ml glass bottle with spray/mist top. Mist burn site several times each day

For the "degree" burn blends I'd add 7-10 drops of Myrrh because it's a good skin healer and is anti-bacterial

Try to budget for Frankincense, it's a "go to" essential oil that is powerful for so many things.

I hope some of this information is useful to you.

My lovely wife had a massage.  Person uses essential oils.  Worked her shoulder/back more than other areas as it was needed.
She came home, and tok a bath with Epsolm salts and Lavendar, a few drops.
She felt her back burn slightly.
After her bath, noticed her back was red, like from a sunburn,
I applied some lavendar.
Next morning, noticed an area near her shoolder where the massuese must have used more oil,
not sure what, but I know it was not jojoba.  And it was more red and peeling.
That evenn, it was like a second degree burn, not quite blistered, but hurts.
I apply Lavendar and Vita E cream in morning.
Coconut oil and Frank late afternoon/early evening when she comes homr from work.
And Aloe gel and Lavendar at night before sleeping.
Don't have many other oils, yet, Peppermint, Lemon, Melaleuca, on guard, Purify, and breathe is all we have.
Budget a few ea month.  No Heli.
If I were to order one more oil or change current protocol, suggestions?
