Citrus Oils eat away petrochemicals (ie plastic) outside our bodies and melt away toxins stored in our body's fat cells thus shrinking the fat cell. So yes, always use glass, ceramic or stainless steel container when drinking citrus in your water/beverage that alkalizes and removes toxins from your body.

Oils are to be used in glass or stainless steel. Most oils will damage plastic, I have little spots all over my friut and vegetable bins in the fridge because I made a homemade kitchen cleaner with lemon oil; works great on the stove top though!
