While many oils CAN be used "neat" I've found it to be good practice to dilute in roller bottlers. They are very potent and it is very easy to use more than needed, which won't necessarily be "too much" but using just enough makes them more affordable. Also, when I make diluted roller bottles for my kids, I can allow them to use generously and not sweat how much they are using.

My kids don't like oils on their hands in general, so they will apply oil to the bottom of their feet and then rub their feet together. (Massaging in always helps oils be more effective, but this way it stays off of their hands.)
I've use 10 ml roller bottles, and I have settled on filling the bottle 1/4 essential oil and 3/4 carrier oil. I just remove the roller bottle top, eyeball the 1/4 mark (about the width of my forefinger) and drop the essential oil in. I then fill up the rest of the way with fractionated coconut oil. I then put the roller-top back on and shake gently to mix. (I have no concrete reasons to shake gently vs. vigorously, but that seems right to me.) I use masking tape or white address labels to wrap around the bottles and label accordingly. Perhaps they can each mark their own with a color or a sticker, they might like that. I enjoy that I can entrust my kids with diluted roller bottles, and help them feel empowered to apply it on their own!
Ask questions, take in lots of info, then trust yourself to do what feels right for your family. :)

I want to make roller bottles with On Guard for each of my kids, but I don't know if there is a "formula" that I can follow or not. (I have 10 ml sized bottles). And what is the best way to get the oil out of the vials they came in, and into a roller bottle?thanks.
