[Everything doTERRA] Re: Peppermint

I've never heard anyone say a specific amount that peppermint cools the body. 10 degrees is extreme and seems unrealistic and potentially problematic to me.  I use peppermint frequently and while I can attest that it brings down fevers effectively, it depends on the circumstances as to how many doses it takes. When I take it as part of my allergy regimen I don't notice a change in body temperature--I'm not using a thermometer, but even when used frequently I've never had my temperature go too low or felt uncomfortable as a result. I'm thinking you might have misunderstood or else the person talking made a mistake--but that's just my opinion.

Maybe someone else will be able to more directly answer your question.
