[Everything doTERRA] Re: HELP! Daughter, 4 1/2 years old, has had fever for 4 days, nothing is helping!

The oils are meant to assist the body do what it does best. Sometimes a fever is the very best thing. As long as you keep her hydrated and her head cool she will be fine. The first question I ask is how often does she have a bowel movement? Anytime my childs fever was high or consistent the bowels were often sluggish. I put them on liquids only- fresh and I would do an enema. The bag kind, not like a fleets. I can drop the temp by a couple points this way. Put in the bathtub and sponge bath with apple cider vinegar. Peppermint in water as often as she will drink. Water puts out fire. The oil suggestions already mentioned will help bring her immune system on board which is what you want. If the body needs a fever to burn off the infection, allow the body to do what it needs and use the oils to support it.  Also a probiotic cap opened up and used throughout the day can also strengthen the immune system.

My little daughter, who is 4 1/2 years old, is always healthy and rarely gets sick, and if she does, it's gone quick.  Well, we are on Day 4 of a daily fever of 102/103, it comes around 2 or 3 PM in the afternoon and stays the rest of the day and kind of lowers at night a little.  I've tried all the oils they say to try, consistently:  OnGuard +, Lavender, Peppermint, Breathe, Oregano, Frankincense, and now just got samples of Black Pepper & Eucalyptus and I've going to try those as well.  I broke down and finally gave her some Tylenol last night just to break the fever cause she was getting so disoriented.  We are pumping the liquids into her, reminding her to drink like every 10 minutes.  Fever was back today of course.  Does anyone have any OTHER suggestions for oils or things to try?  Probably going to end up taking her to the Dr on Monday if this doesn't get better, something like this has never happened to us before.  She has NO other symptoms but the fever.  No cough, no congestion, no sore throat, no painful ears.  I have no idea what this is!  Your suggestions are welcomed!
