[Everything doTERRA] Painful joint rub

Marissa,

You mentioned a painful joint rub that you mix for your clients. "wintergreen, lemongrass, frankincense, eucalyptus and cypress in FCO."

Please share the amounts of each oil and FCO. My neighbor has RA and I'd like to bless her. Do you place them in a roller bottle?

Thanks,
Linda

Hi there!
First there is so much that can (and should) be considered utilizing nutrition. RA 95% of the time is autoimmune and related to "leaky gut syndrome" which means that the gut has become permeable to damage from foods like gluten, sugar, dairy and more and therefore food particles leak through into the blood stream and settle quite often in the joints. The immune system recognizes that these are foreign and shouldn't be there and begins the attack (inflammation, heat, pain). Without addressing the gut it will be hard to get relief since the immune system will be on constant attack (and all medications do is suppress the immune system - not good for over all health). I would strongly advise that your friend locate a functional medicine physician or functional nutritionist to help then with the creation of an elimination diet. The LLV is a good place to start especially the xEO Mega to help with inflammation.
That being said, there are oils that can be utilized to ease symptoms while working on diet. I have created a "painful joint"rub that can be used on joints and muscles that I give to my patients (I'm a dietitian and specialize in functional nutrition and autoimmune conditions) -
I like to mix wintergreen, lemongrass, frankincense, eucalyptus and cypress in FCO.

........

I hope that helps some!
