I let mine soak in the sink for awhile and then wash them out completely, clean off the old labels and then put a drop of purify in each one and fill to the top with water. After about an hour, the smell is gone when you rinse them out! For all you newbies out there, it is a good idea to keep one bottle of every oil for when you do expos and other demos. I leave one or two drops in each bottle, the labels intact. That way, passers by can stop and smell or even try the oil and won't be tempted to run off with it. Even if someone lifts one, they only got a few drops that way, not your entire bottle.Suzy
