[Everything doTERRA] Re: Knee inflammation

Not sure why it isn't showing up in the discussion (only on my e-
mails...this forum is very confusing for me) so I'm going to re-post
this:

Wow, doesn't sound like that injury was any fun at all !

There really is no way you can overdose on doTERRA oils that I'm aware
of. However, oils like lemongrass, clove and even white fir can cause
skin sensitivities with some individuals, so it's good to apply some
of the fractionated coconut oil as well to avoid any irritation.
Oregano and cassia are examples of other oils that can be considered
"hot" for some folks.

I would say that you should use each oil long enough to know if your
getting results and that will vary from individual to individual. In
other words, you'll have to do some experimenting and see what gives
you the best results. Sometimes our bodies absorb certain oils much
faster than others and that can be a clue (however, know that using a
carrier oil like fractionated coconut slows down the rate of
absorption). Last week a masage therapist was doing some deep tissue
neck and shoulder work on me and I "soaked up" almost a whole 15 ml
bottle of white fir.

When feeling pain or any type of discomfort, some have felt the need
to use the oils as often as every five minutes or every hour once
they've found something that works for them. Once things start to
settle down, most people can begin to reduce the frequency of
application to as little as once per day to prevent flare ups. If I
anticipate strenuous activity/ stress on my knee such as a long day of
skiing moguls, then I'll use the oils more frequently.

As far as getting the oils to be effective behind the knee cap and
near the meniscal damage, you mayfeel the need to try some hot
compresses when your body is able to tolerate it. Let us know how
things work out.

Also, I forgot to mention how effective the LLW trio has been for me.
I had to consume a large amount of the strongest pain killers if I was
going to lead any kind of a life after my accident in 2005. The oils I
was using from another company were not effective for me. When doTERRA
made the trio available to us last year, I started taking it
immediately and was able to stop the pain meds within 2-3 weeks.
Apparently, inflammation was causing of most of my pain. I can't even
explain to you how much of a relief it was for me to get off the
meds !

The MJ Assist is very helpful as well.

Yes, I had a tear, plus had cracked the kneecap. I had just
decided
during the night, to get up and use ice today, so I appreciate
your
advice and explanation. At this moment I have on lemongrass and
peppermint. Question -- how often can I use the oils, can I
overdose,
can they interact with one another if I try a combo now and two
hours
later another combo? I'm basically new at this.
Thanks from Kerry
