If it's possibly an infection of some kind I'd apply Purify or On Guard around the wound several times a day. I'd also use Immortelle (it contains both frankincense and helichrysum) and the DDRPrime around the wound several times a day.
I'm also wondering if Zendocrine Blend might not be appropriate as well, to aid detoxification of the skin around the site.
I'm hoping that Heather AK chimes in on this.
