[Everything doTERRA] Re: Do any of our oils cause a problem when used in conjunction with heart medication

Essential oils can have similar effects on your body's systems as prescription drugs, so you should be careful.  Mentha (Peppermint, Wintergreen, DeepBlue, PastTense) can all have blood thinning effects, so if you're on a blood thinner, you should proceed with caution until you know how your body reacts to the mint's effect on your vascular system.  Rosemary is often suggested as an oil to avoid for people with high blood pressure, so that needs to be factored in if blood pressure is something you're monitoring as well.

I think the answers you received were regarding specific, simple, drug interactions - to which there are no known concerns listed.  However I don't think that's the most appropriate response.  Essential oils are very powerful influences on your body's systems, and you need to be aware of those influences when combining them with traditional/prescribed medications.  I hope that helps you out!
