This is my friend's personal experience with doTERRA and her kidney disease (she has given me permission to share this information). I think you'll find this interesting and encouraging. [I am not the sister "Dee" that she mentions. :o)]My name is [PJD] and I had End-stage 3 kidney failure. My GFR [Glomerular Filtration Rate – a test used to check how well the kidneys are working] was 37. They say kidneys don't repair themselves. But we like to say when you give your body the support it needs your body will repair itself! So I got with my sister Dee, a retired surgical nurse, and she created the following protocol for me:
- dōTerra's Lifelong Vitality Pack [LLV]
- I took a double dose of the LLV twice a day, which would be four from each of the three bottles both morning and evening
- Zendocrine® Detoxification Complex – taken as directed
- Zendocrine Essential Oil Blend – two drops neat
- Frankincense Essential Oil – two drops neat
- Lemongrass Essential Oil – two drops neat
- Lemon Essential Oil – two drops neat
- On Guard® Essential Oil Blend – two drops neat [this oil can be "hot" so you can use it in a carrier oil
I massaged the Essential Oils and Essential Oil Blends into the soles of my feet, in no particular order – I wasn't being scientific at that time, I was brand new to the oils. I did tell my specialist what I was doing and he said it "wouldn't help," that I was "grasping at straws" and that "very soon, I would need to go on dialysis to protect the rest of my organs," but he would monitor me. My Nephrologist tested me every month and, to his amazement, my stats improved. The dōTerra protocol was working! 5½ months later he discharged me as being well.
For a reason unknown to me, this past year I was put on Lipitor for eight months. I ended up with stage 3 kidney failure again! My GFR was 41. My Nephrologist couldn't understand why, with my history of kidney failure, any doctor would have put me on Lipitor because it's known to cause damage to the kidneys. I was more than upset, but it gave me the opportunity to prove dōTerra one more time. Not that I like being a guinea pig!! LOL. Within two months my stats improved to almost perfect. The specialist said that I'm not even at stage 1 and that everybody my age was where I was. Yay dōTerra!! But I do want to say this, that had I not already been taking the vitamins, I truly believe that my kidneys would have been destroyed this time around.

They said to stay of nsaids - ibuprofin, tylonal, etc. Well, I don't take those and haven't had one for years. So my question is...can any of the oils have an effect on the kidneys. Especially since I ingest some of them occasionally. I'd like to know before I begin my search to help me improve the condition of my kedneys. Thanks ahead of time.--
