Re: [Everything doTERRA] Vendor Fair restrictions...bummer!

I guess I feel differently.   The Policy Manual is written for a reason and that is to protect a companies assets and to set a standard.   By first not following the policy is wrong...but to promote disobeying the policy manual is even more of a disappointment.   Why will anyone follow any rules if people feel it's just ok to ignore them. I agree there are many "at the top" who don't follow this particular rule and that really frustrates me as it starts to give less credibility to the company.  I don't agree with the restrictions set forth but I abide by them.  If you don't like the ruling....bombard doTERRA with requests to change it but don't blatantly defy it and make it seem ok.  I love doTERRA and I continue to build it..but I do it according to the rules. I continually see doing things the company is very strict on and then advocates say.....well my upline does it.  Then it makes people feel they can just do whatever they want.  I work too hard to build my business and I am not going to jeopardize that.  Rules are rules just like the law.  If you don't like the rule....work to change it but follow it until you have the right to do it differently.

The first thing I did when I enrolled with doTERRA a couple of years ago, was read the policy manual. I thought it should be followed. At the beginning, I did follow it.

However, I quickly realised that no-one follows the policy manual (even those at the 'top'). It is poorly written. It is massively restrictive (as you have found), and quite simply, it should be ignored. doTERRA make no effort to push the policy manual anyway. I suspect most 'advocates' are not even aware of it.

I would never seek approval from doTERRA for any event, or anything else for that matter...
