I went through an ablation procedure several years ago and glad I did. I was over 40 and had no intentions of having anymore kids. For me, 3 months after the procedure I had a period, a few months later had another one after that nothing... I had a great GYN who explained everything (pros & cons). For me it worked BUT it's NOT the same for everybody AND there is no guarantee it will work for everyone. I've known 2 others who've had it done. One in her 30s (doesn't want kids) and she had no issues, another in her 40s and she had her period for several months afterwards.. Just be aware not everyone reacts the same way...
