[Everything doTERRA] Re: grapefruitseed oil iritation

I would not recommend citrus oils in deodorant due to photosensitivity. I like melaleuca and lavender and rosemary and lavender! My husband loves cedar wood and patchouli and some others but I can't think off the top of my head! LOL

My son is 9 and is learning about the values of the oils. He's been experimenting with different oils being used as deodorant. Tonight he decided to place a couple drops of grapefruitseed oil on the armpit area of his shirt. Within a few minutes he was complaining of a burning sensation that seemed very strong to me. What would cause a reaction like that? I've taught him about the oils and sun and which ones may be ones he should avoid without me or daddy. I honestly didn't think that would be one I'd have to worry about. Any thoughts would be great.
