My English bulldog has two large black patches on his sides. From what I know, this is a fungus based issue called "black spot". The vet can't do much for it. My problem is the poor thing can't reach his sides to scratch them and I want to help him relieve the itch (and possibly clear the black spot up). I have tried shampooing him with the benzoyl peroxide shampoo the vet recommended and I have a lavender and tea tree (maleluca) oil shampoo I have made, but neither seem to be helping. (though he smells a whole lot better after the lavender and tea tree oil bath!)
-- Any recommendations to help clear this up and help him stop itching? It's beginning to make him anxious as well...
