[Everything doTERRA] Gulf War Syndrome

My husband has Gulf War Syndrome. In 1991 he was deployed during Desert Storm where he was exposed to sarin gas. Some of his symptoms include chronic fatigue, chronic pain, night sweats, joint pain, cognitive issues (loses his train of thought frequently, thought processes slowed down) memory loss, difficulty sleeping. He also has severe sleep apnea. His c-pap machine has not increased his energy level at all. The doctors have him on meds that wake his brain up and then put it back to sleep. I do not know the medical term for it but in simple terms it is described like a dimmer switch.

Also, the doctors have diagnosed him with sarcoidosis, a lung disease. This diagnosis is made by a process of elimination, no test to say this is what you have. He feels this is an inaccurate diagnosis as most people who have it are young black females. He is a middle-aged white man. The symptoms also are very similar to Gulf War Syndrome. He went to Walter Reed Army Hospital for 18 months taking high doses of prednisone. The lymph nodes in his chest went back to normal size and have stayed that way.

Currently he has 5 bulging discs in his neck, arthritis in his lower back, needs a knee and shoulder replacement. Wrestling through high school and college and then 20 years in the military has taken a toll in his body.

I have just recently been made aware of doterra and started my journey of researching the oils and how to use them. Since my husbands health concerns are quite complicated, I felt I needed to reach out to others who have experience with his conditions. Thanks. Kelly
