The protocol Pat has laid out is wonderful! I just want to second the slow start on LLV (life long vitality aka the vitamin pack). My father has also had diabetes for 50 years. He has been on a pump for the last 10. When he started LLV blood sugars were high for about a week. They did regulate, but he got frustrated since he is a little on the OCD side about his levels. He strives for 80-120 all the time, so the 180 was a difficult thing for him. 2 months later we are seeing less insulin used! He is only using LLV and occasional lemon, lav, peppermint for nasal allergies. Be patient and remember diabetes is hormonal imbalance. She is aging and her body is changing.
