Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I do have been struggling some with sleep and waking up at 4 am for the past few weeks. I have lavendar only for now so I will give that a try. Thanks again!

I am sorry that I don't have an exact answer to your question, but I do have a successful experience to share. My son is 12 years old and has had an extremely hard time falling asleep at night and melatonin rarely helped. Once he does, he sleeps through to morning. I cannot tell you how many times he has said, "I can't sleep" after lying in bed for at least 2 hours. Meanwhile, I am exhausted and ready to strangle him until he passes out. I don't advise this method... while I'm sure that it would be effective... you might go to jail. Instead, I found a recipe for the Peaceful Child Blend on the Especially For Kids tab of the ADHD listing at http://www.everythingessential.me/ . I mixed this blend in a roller bottle and he applies it to the bottom of his big toe on each foot every night before going to bed. He is out within 10-15 minutes of laying down at night. It doesn't work like a tranquilizer though, so you don't have to worry about her passing out anywhere. He has put it on and then not gone in to lie down for 30 minutes too, so he is still able to function with it. No ill side effects so we are ecstatic!HealthConcerns/ADD.html#page= page-4
