The key is catching them before they come all the way to the surface. I have killed them with OG and Melaleuca. At the the first itch or tickle wet an ice cube and massage into the spot. Then start applying either oil. Keep alternating the ice and the oil. L lysine helps the virus to not come to the surface. 1200 mg. Try to figure out what triggers the outbreak like sun, stress, fever etc and practice prevention. Apply plenty of sunscreen to the lip area, repeat often, rub ice on your lips. I would not use OG on your lips in the sun as it has wild orange in it. Good luck!!! Pat

My husband will occasionally get one from too much stress. We've tried melaleuca, peppermint, on guard, frankincense, bergamotand black pepper with no luck. I have been told to try oregano and clove? Is there anything else that you have found to help heal cold sores?Any suggestions would be great!
