Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Vetiver OIl

Thank you so much.  I will look into the recipe.  I do try to watch his diet.  He gets not red dyes and he loves fruits and vegies.  No worries about offense.  Im looking for all the help I can get.  LOL  Thank you again.

There is a "peaceful child" blend that you can make.  There is a video of it being made on Youtube.  Also I have read others layering Balance and InTune with the Vetiver.  Aside from the oils there are other things to try and consider.  Diet is one.  I had a mom tell me that every time her son had something with red dye in it he went nuts.  There are also links to diet and behavior although its not the magic bullet. Eliminate processed foods; artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners; reduce or omit wheat and dairy.  Incorporate as many fresh fruits and veggies as possible. A good way to do this is through smoothies.  I sneak Swiss chard, spinach, frozen green beans, cucumbers, carrots, and avocadoes (not all at once) into my picky 3 year old's fruit smoothies.  Please don't think I am assuming your son has a bad diet!  My son also has big emotions and short temper.  When I keep myself calm and react calmly and discipline in a calm but firm manner he reacts so differently.  I cannot bluff with him; if I say he gets a consequence for a certain disobedience I have to follow through.  He knows I mean business now.  Again, not assuming you don't, just trying to throw things out there.  Lots of love and firm calm discipline have worked well with my little one.  I will pray for your little guy:)

Hi, I'm a newbie to using EO and I have a question.  Is it possible to overuse Vetiver Oil for ADHD?  I've been applying a mixture of Vetiver, Lavendar and Almond Oil to my sons feet, behind both ears and back of neck, morning and night.  Occasionally I think I may be seeing a difference but mostly not.  I'm so afraid he's about to be "expelled" from daycare.  He throws awful tantrums, screams and kicks.  He has a VERY bad temper and is extremely stubborn.  He cannot sit still for even a couple of minutes, let alone focus on learning new tasks.  He is in speec therapy and occupational therapy.  His therapists are also concerned that his lack of focus is also impairing his ability to progress in these areas.  I just want to be sure I'm not "overdoing" the Vetiver.  Thank you for any imput.
