Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Petition about Amazon wholesale sellers

Just a note regarding this re-selling situation. DoTerra sells oils to Independent Product Consultants, they in turn choose to sell it on Amazon or some other venue. This is a very hard thing to monitor and I personally know of a few who had letters to cease and desist breaking apart kits and selling the 5ml bottles. By creating the deposit to sell, they were trying to make if more difficult. They have an entire staff just trying to monitor this type of selling. DoTerra does care, they are on it and its something we have to deal with, like it or not.

So, here is my situation. Someone had been purchasing oils from me and I will only sell my oils a few times before I tell them that they need to get an account and purchase the oils on their own. Well when I did this with a potential IPC last year, she told me she was going to just get her oils on Amazon. I told her to do what worked best for her but in order to purchase from me any longer she would need to enroll. Six months later she called and couldn't find one of the oils she wanted and also had two different oils come to her that were damaged in one way or another. Because she did not purchase them doTerra had no obligation to replace them. They suggested she go to the person she bought the oils from.  When she called me she wanted to return the oils and and then purchase from me again. I told her the only way she could purchase oils was to enroll and get the on her own, that way she would have doTerra to go back to if there was a problem

People who are always looking for a deal or the cheapest price really do get what they pay for!!

I mentioned this several months ago.  It is troublesome to see doTerra products on Amazon and ebay.  I know corporate knows this occurs.  I can not say for sure but I don't think doTerra can do anything about it.  It happens with companies repeatedly.  I had a client that wanted BioFreeze for their parent.  I am a massage therapist so it was something I sold often.  The company I usually but it from was going to take too long to ship it so I went to Amazon.  Cheaper and quicker............product came in and I was not happy with it.  Lesson learned.  Most likely products directly from doTerra will have a flaw also.  So if I want BioFreeze again I will just wait........better still I talk about Deep Blue!  May be much more than what the person would pay for BioFreeze but the quality and efficacy are far better and with the smaller amount needed I think it all comes out to the same.

If everyone who has a concern about this would contact doterra, email them, if they get an overwhelming response I know they will at least consider something different.  You need to direct the concern and frustration to the right place, we should all, if you have concerns, take the time to respond to doterra corporate about that.  They are such a wonderful team, it will make a difference if they hear from a lot of people, instead of a few.  I know most people I know concerned about this, NONE have taken the time to contact doterra, I know for myself as well as others, our time is precious.  But, I encourage each one who is concerned to contact corporate.  They are a great team!
