Really quickly--we had fits on the electronics too. We bought one of those clocks from a school supply that opens a wedge of red that gets smaller and smaller as the time goes out. Works so well we use them at school too. He can see the time going down and it takes away the randomness of the time--if they can't see it, they think it's arbitrary. So this way, it's the clock, not me that decides the time. I will send more on how to make the blankets tomorrow. I'm pooped.

--Thank you everyone....some background information ....my four yrs has had 20 hours a week of ABA and 2.5 hours of speech a week.Currently regional center dropped ABA when he was close to turning three and school district is only giving us 30 minutes (because we plan to homeschool probably) and we pay out of pocket for Hayward State Speech and Language pathology for the 2 hours. $300 a semester. Their testing was also $300. This year we will be paying $1200 out of pocket for speech.Kaiser Seed program tested him behind in speech (we already knew that), pretend play and fine motor skills. This was done two weeks ago.I will be emailing his pediatrician to get him into the pediatrics autism program in Santa Clara. I heard it is good.Anyways, I have been thinking a weighted vest/blanket would be good for him. Definitely want to learn how to make it... Please send me to me at carolyn.lunger@yahoo.com or bayareahayhackers@gmail.com. I have tried slippling supplements in smoothes like enzymes, probiotics etc . No dice. He will not drink any kind of smoothy shakes with powder in it. My step daughter have failure to thrive and I tried giving him their powder. He spat that out on the floor fast. Anything he doesn't like is spat in my face, or others or on the floor. He loves videos and video games like on Kindle, I pad , computers but getting him to transition from it is horrendous. Screams and shouts. So I try to avoid but in order for me to email you guys he is watching Super Why right nowYes, I am trying to get my hands on some vetiver fast and he does well with Balance. Wild Orange makes him go nuts. I put Frankicense on him today and we went to go see the Nutcracker and managed very well.I think i am going to reapply now.Carolyn

My oldest one (who is now 19yrs old) was a little more reasonable and compliant about things in general. He wanted to please. The second one is harder. This particular child will not take supplements of any kind. He barely even wants to eat sometimes. I am trying to modify his diet but it is really hard with him.So here is what we have to deal with and I need help NOW:He bounces off the walls--can't stop moving. Jumps off furnitureWalks across the room and does somersaultsHurts himself and others- have fallen down a huge flight of stairs, jumped out of a truck, hits and kicks peopleBreaks things all the time-broke the mirrors in my truck, ripped out handles to cabinets/doorsGets frequent bloody nosesHas loose stools frequentlyHits himself when frustratedLines objects upHas had 20 hours of ABA therapy a weekIs in speech therapy 2.5 hours a weekdelayed fine motor and with pretend playHas major temper tantrums/ragesGets overwhelmed with people and noises but can't play alone eitherHe yells/screams/whines no matter how much I put my foot down and not bend the rules. Can't stop touching things/other peopleHoardsJust bought him a terra cotta pendant today to wear around neck with EO ----just lost it at the park, can't tell me how, when or where about it.Is homeschooled (so I can have more flexibility in using EO throughout the day)Walks in circles/pacesThink dairy and soy might make things worse-trial and errorCould care less about anyone;s feelings or pleasing anyone.Could care less if he hurt someoneHere is what we have used:BALANCE --seems to help at firstSerenity-didn;t respond to this muchElevation-this made him even crazier, but I do give him it when he is in a mental crying fit and sadRosemary-really don;t see much with thisOnguard-has kept him getting sick when others have been sick, he doesnt get sick too often though anywaysPeppermint-to help with his tummy issues, seems to be help firm up his BMsEpson SALT Baths-these seem to mellow him out for about 5-15minutes but it makes his stools loose againMassages-these also give him a relax mode as well of about 10 -20 minutes. What does other suggest? At wits end!
