I was told by a doctor that Pink eye can start out as a virus and accompanying a cold and can turn bacterial if the kids rub them and get germs in there. So, I personally view all gooey eyes as if they are pink eye just to make sure. Lavender and melaleuca are both awesome for pink eye.
