I have been taking it for years and am still nursing my first at 10 months old. So I would say sure you can. If you are just starting it that might be a different story as some people seem to have a detox when they first begin. ( I didn't ever have any issues but from what I hear some people do). If that is the case I believe you can just start out with a smaller dose and work up to to full one. Hope that helps.
