You are absolutely right! I did check the IRS rules last year and homeopathic is not included
As a deduction.

Unfortunately I do not think we can deduct doTERRA oils as medical expenses. You cannot deduct OTC meds such as aspirin, only prescriptions. In order to claim a medical deduction on your Schedule A, you need to have at least 10% of your AGI (adjusted gross income) in medical expenses. Those expenses include prescriptions, office visits, dental, eyeglasses, labs, hospital, medical miles (driving to drs etc.) This has just gone up, for years it was 7 1/2%. What you deduct is the amount OVER the 10%. (For people 65 and over it's still at 7 1/2%.) {disclaimer: although I'm a tax pro at H&R Block I am not telling you how to do your taxes, just giving my general opinion!!}
