Re: [Everything doTERRA] oils in the classroom

Jan- What toxic chemicals could go in the air unless there is something else on the burner. doTERRA oils are toxin free. Extraction is different then use. But it is a very poor way to put an oil in the air. You loose many many of your chemical constituents, not all of them. Its not the same by a long shot, but you can even feel the peppermint & wild orange in a baked brownie. Chicken Soup really does work as there are all those good spices in that broth. Cooking with the oils is worth it, yet its a different level then medicinal.

Mom of littles- Why not make a different hand sanitizer with a different smell. Use clear aloe as a base so it looks like a little bottle of hand sanitizer. Or you could clean out a hand sanitizer bottle and put your aloe & oils in it. Ie: if you used OnGuard and there was a complaint, use Purify this time - it has a less distict smell with all those top notes more like hand sanitizer except not nasty. If she is asked what it is - Id have my daughter say "hand sanitizer" if she is asked where she got it. She could shrug. It should be a non issue. I don't appreciate intimidation and the fact the principal called instead of the teacher... Smacks a bit of useing implied authority. - What do you wan't to bet there is nothing in the school district regs about essential oils. They diffuse them in class rooms & emergency rooms...allergies are not an issue.

The idea that my natural hand sanitizer could give someone else allergies on my child is ridiculous. Could someone elses alcohol & chemicals cause it- well that is possable, uncommon but it's happened. You will find the uneducated. Its your choice if you choose to educate or go around them. Thinking outside the box can include using the box. ;)
