Re: [Everything doTERRA] Breakouts from facial waxing

You might see if they can get the wax at the EWC cooler before they apply. It is possible to break it out if it is too hot... You may also be really sensitive to heat. I am wondering if you might have a minor skin infection that flares up when aggravated...  I can't remember if you are using the facial care stuff but that has done far more for my skin than anything. I was on prescription acne medicine and after starting the skin care regiem I went off it three weeks later. It has melelueca (+ lots more) in it which will help with any underlying skin infection you may have. The cleansing cream, alone, is like a silk robe on your face. Then the hydrating cream - ahhh. I may be addicted. I will get a jet peel about 4 times a year or so. My face would always feel so fresh afterwards and I loved it. Well, after a month of using the skin care, I went in for one and it really didn't feel any different from using my doTerra skin care at home. I will never go back to another skin care line. This stuff is gold. Anyway, good luck! I hope you find an answer!

Just wanted to update you --
I tried the European Wax Center, and it wasn't terrible. It actually did not hurt as much as a typical waxing (I think because they don't use the muslin to strip it off). I did, however, still break out, but not quite as bad. I will go back, but maybe next time, I will be more diligent with putting melaluca and lavender on afterwards. Any other suggestions?

I think all these oil suggestions are good. But I wanted to add that there is another way to wax... maybe you (or your friend) are already doing it. But if you go to European Wax Centers, they use beeswax with lavender oil in it. AND, they don't put strips on the wax -- it is just the wax. I used to break out EVERY time. Then I started using this place and never broke out again. It is much better suited, not only for sensitive skin, but also for any type of skin. Plus it hurts WAY less.

Just my 2 cents...

I break out almost exactly 48 hours after the waxing. It lasts about 6 days after.

Do you break out right after, or like a day later.  I found that if I exfoliate right after or that night it prevents the pores from getting clogged and flaring up.

This question is about someone with sensitive skin who breaks out from facial waxing (and has tried many pre and post creams and potions). Does anyone have advice/suggestions on what can be put on topically, before or after waxing, to help with pimples and raised skin bumps?
