I agree with you. I love doTERRA, let's hope they continue to make the products naturally, pure and wonderful. Thanks for the information we all need to make sure that our doTERRA products remain pure, without any extra garbage.

We are addicted to sugar and have to get away so why sweet lip balm??? When I bake I use half the sugar in recipes and it's still very sweet.
I believe the lip balm would be fine with 1 quarter of Stevia doTERRA puts in.
I'm not saying that the ingredients are toxic as far as we know now!
I'm a hairstylist and silicon builds up in your hair because it's not water soluble.
You can feel that on your hands after you use the product. Do I want silicon on my
scalp for health reasons??? The essential oils, yes!!! Would it be wonderful to have the Serum
made with Argan oil instead?
Our skin, as doTERRA teaches, is lipophilic so we absorb everything through our skin.
I am holistic, organic and natural and the essential oils are perfect but I can not sell
some of the products to people here. There is so much garbage out there already that's
why I'm taking the time to write and hope doTERRA will stay close to an organic,
natural company and not include ingredients that we can't understand
and not just in the serum.
How about the Nano technology? That is controversial too and doTERRA should
really explain the technology and safety to us.
Why strawberry flavor in the kids vitamins?
Strawberry's are sprayed with toxins and it does not say organic strawberry flavor. Orange flavor
matches a doTERRA essential oil and people might not question it so fast.
doTERRA's oils are so great why not the rest of the products?
I'm in California and people here are reading labels.
I get questioned about our ingredients by many, my answer now is: just do not use if its
questionable to you.
Here is the respond from doTERRA:
Dear Marlies,
We appreciate your inquiry and feedback, I will send your message to our product development team for consideration. Silicon is commonly found in the earth and silicon dioxide is common sand. It is a non toxic ingredient. The ingredients in doTERRA personal care products have been shown to be safe for topical use by reputable and independent research and medical organizations. Each ingredient used in doTERRA personal care products is carefully selected after careful review of clinical data including information provided by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review is an independent auditing body established in 1976 by the industry trade association Personal Care Products Council (formerly the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association), with the support of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Consumer Federation of America. (More information on the Cosmetic Ingredient Review is available at http://www.cir-safety.org).doTERRA personal care products can be used with confidence and safety by all members of a family as directed on product labels.
The ingredients listed in your email are perfectly safe and are included in the products to improve performance. There are a host of websites you can visit that will condemn most ingredients that are approved for use in the personal care industry. Some of these sites are legitimate, but others lack credibility and promote information that lacks scientific evidence or in many cases sound logic. We will continue to follow the guidelines listed below which may or may not line up with every opinion out there on the web.
doTERRA does not ever use the following:
Artificial Colors
Diethanolamine (DEA)
Formaldehyde donors
Parabens
Phthalates
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Propylene glycol
Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)
Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)
Toluene
Triethanolamine (TEA)
No Animal Testing
I hope this helps clarify!

Some of my down line read the ingredients carefully
and say NO to some products doTERRA sells, me included.
This is hurting us.
The bestseller hair oil at our health food store is pure argan oil,
and we can have that as a base for our serum with all the great healing oils in it,
no reason to add silicon.
doTERRA should not compete with hair salons, we have to be more natural then them.
I believe all the products should be as natural as the essential oils from doterra.
I sent a letter to product support and if you have any concerns you should too.
If we don't tell doTERRA about our concerns, they think all is fine.
I also don't care for the lip balm, the world needs to get of sugar addiction and our
lip balm is sweetened with Stevia. Can we do without "sweet" in the lip balm?
This is a call to action because I do love doTERRA essential oils and I want to feel
good about all the products I sell.
