Like Gin, I sharpie out the social then I file the order- they nor I want that sitting there in the file and I let them know when they are filling out the form. While most of the info is available through the back office, when things have gone wrong with an order or someone has had a question about their order. It's quick to pull up the form to refer too.
I don't recommend entering them at midnight if avoidable or when your in a huge time crunch with people asking you questions at the same time- It's when I've entered anything wrong.
I always write the customer number etc at the top of the form. Which makes it easier to talk to corporate about anything from the order and makes it quicker to look them up in genealogy when looking them up.
