If your meds tell you to not eat grapefruit then don't. However the essential oil is not the same as the grapefruit itself. The oil is taken from the rind and not the fruit, you should be fine with the oil.

I have a medication that states specifically to not eat grapefruit while taking it. I also know that I am supposed to avoid it with my medication for hypothyroid. I assume that I should avoid the grapefruit essential oil as well, but I was hoping someone could tell me for certain.
