For the second time in just a few weeks, my granddaughter has developed a series of what appear to be red bruises on the inside of her arm.. Both times, the pattern started with a single bruise near the shoulder and then progressed steadily down her arm toward the wrist. The first time it happened was about three weeks ago, right after she was released from the hospital after being treated for a staph infection in the right arm. That time, the pattern appeared on the same arm where the staph infection had developed, so my daughter took her to the emergency room. The ER docs didn't know what it was but didn't think it was threatening because it was tracking down (following a path of gravity) instead of up toward the heart. The next day, they went to my granddaughter's pediatrician, who also didn't know what it was, but agreed with the ER docs' assessment. Tonight, they noticed the exact same pattern starting at the same place on the opposite arm, and spreading quickly down toward the wrist. My daughter sent me the attached pics and then called to ask my advice. While we were talking, the pattern continued down the left arm (the bruises are tender to the touch, but otherwise not painful), and before we hung up, it had begun on the right arm as well. This is getting a little spooky. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before or have any suggestions about oils to try?
