I am not a doctor or anything but if you have fluid behind the eardrum it means that the eustachian tube is not open which blocks the ear from draining due to swelling of some sort. I am new to EOs but I think Breathe and On Guard would probably help. Personally I would not take prednisone for this problem. It might work (in that it will reduce swelling) but it is like taking a cannon to kill a mosquito.

 You need to open up the eustachian tube.

 Frankincense and helichrsum might also help.
