[Everything doTERRA] Re: Oil of the week: Clary Sage

I have had SEVERE Hot Flashes that started in February 2009, they were
AT LEAST every two hours (day and night) and they were were almost as
intense as labor contractions - stress would sometimes make them more
frequent. I had tried (or at least considered) EVERYTHING; nothing
really made them any better, and some of the efforts made it worse.
In an effort to help with my HF, a friend introduced me to doTERRA in
June. Over the next couple months, doTERRA didn't alter the
frequency, but it did help lessen the severity of the flashes.

Almost five months after I started with doTERRA I still awoke at least
every two hours. Usually after about two 'naps' I couldn't go back to
sleep, my mind was too busy. Besides being very tired all the time I
was extremely frustrated.

One day I was listening to the Conference Call on Clary Sage on
builddoterra.com and heard the first reference I had ever heard that
was really similar to my predicament. It mentioned that Clary Sage
combined with Vetiver had been known to help women that were having
night sweats every two hours - to obtain up to six hours of sleep at
night. I had both on hand so I decided to try the combination.

After starting to use the combination, I awoke one night after about
3.5 HOURS and realized that I had to go to the bathroom but I was NOT
having a hot flash! I didn't have a HF til 6:47am!!! Since then, I
have noticed that about three times a day I have a warm 'moment', but
I don't even need to shed a layer.

As well as my use of the oils, every night before bed I 'huff'
Vetiver, Clary Sage and Lavender, following which I can't spend more
than 20 minutes reading before I'm OUT. I still wake up some nights,
but not every two hours, and I don't have 'HOT' Flashes any more.
When I do wake up to go to the bathroom or just roll over, I have a
tiny bottle beside my bed that I 'sniff' and I'm right back to
sleep. I CAN DO THIS!!!
